Andrzej Świetlik

Andrzej Świetlik (born 1951) – artist, photographer, born in Złotów. Co-founder of the artistic group Łódź Kaliska, where he works continuously until today. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Lecturer in photography at the Warsaw School of Information Technology at the Graphics Faculty. Author of portraits of prominent people of the world of culture, science and art, including Zbigniew Brzeziński, Ryszard Kapuściński, Zbigniew Religa, Jacek Kuroń, priest Adam Boniecki, Grzegorz Ciechowski, Edyta Geppert, Kora, Czesław Niemen, Marek Grechuta, Stanisław Soyka, Adam Nowak as well as John Cleese, Danny de Vito, Gerard Depardieu, Marcin Dorociński and Wojtek Smarzowski. His photographs were also on the covers of CDs and posters. Together with the Łódź Kaliska group he participated in around 350 exhibitions all over the world, and their works can be found in the collections of many museums, including the National Museum in Poznań, Wrocław and Kielce, Museum of Art in Łódź and private collections.
