Elaine Clocherty

Australia (born 1971) – a site specific land artist, she holds a BA in Fine Arts (with a residency at the Environmental Arts Department at Glasgow School of Art) and BA Hons in Sustainable Development/Social Ecology. Her practise includes emphemeral sculptures, gallery sculptures and photography, art trails and regenerating spaces with planting. She works directly in the landscape using found local natural materials which allows the characteristics of a place to inform the work. Over 15 years she has been involved in many outdoor exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand. including winning the Helen Lempriere Sculpture Scholarship for Emerging Artist at a widely-recognized Australian competition and open-space gallery „Sculpture By the Sea Bondi”. She has exhibited at Byron Bay Sculpture Biennial 2010, Floating Lands Queensland and ‘This is Not What you Call Sculpture’, Glasgow.
