Jan Rylke

(born 1944) – professor, painter, performer, specialist in the art of gardening, lecturer at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. A graduate of the National School of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1962), in 1968 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, defended his doctoral thesis in 1976. In 1988 he received tenure and the title of professor was granted to him in 2002. Author of 167 monographs and dissertations; 41 individual exhibitions; 128 collective exhibitions , 11 books and scripts; 59 times participating in the sessions and workshops, 67 concerts and performances of a performative character. He currently works as a professor in the Department of Design and Landscape Conservation at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
