Jerzy „Słoma” Słomiński

Born in 1957 – musician, drummer and drum maker, architect. He had an individual course of study with Oskar Hansen at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he began to study in 1978. As a musician he collaborated with Jacek Kleyff, Brygada Kryzys, Ossian, Orkiestra na Zdrowie, Izrael and Antonina Krzysztoń. After the introduction of martial law he left Warsaw and settled in the Kozłowieckie Woods, where he founded an alternative, music community, made up of about 20 families. As the first in Poland, he started making professional type of conga drums. From An original musical project – Bębnoluby formation – was born out of this activity. The group had three official releases. He is an experienced constructor of wooden ecological houses, erected on the plan of the polygon. The initiator and founder of the House of Culture and Peace.
