Ralf Witthaus (DE)

RALF WITTHAUS (DE), born 1973 – studied art, design and international art management in Hamburg,  Bielefeld, Enschede (the Netherlands), Berlin, Cologne and Düsseldorf. He is famous for unconventional large-scale pictures made with lawnmowers, including for instance “Bundesrasenschau” in Cologne – a seven kilometre drawing around the city. He participated in well over a hundred exhibitions in Germany and Europe, including the green roof of the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, Karlsruhe Castle and Goethe Institut in Rotterdam. He curated the German EuroLandArt Festival 2005 to 2011.
