“Little Land Art” project is an education programme for children and youth which refers to the local culture and nature of the Podlasie Bug Gorge Landscape Park. The classes are aimed at children from all over the region and the surrounding villages as well as their caretakers; the classes are interdisciplinary, combine different types of creative activity in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, the methods of working with words and images, incorporate in their structure tales and legends from the area, paratheatrical activities, collage and improvisation techniques, movement and music activity. Stories and talks are combined with manual activity and have the character of learning through play, which takes place both in the open space and in the daily room which the mayor of the village Bubel Granna kindly offered for the workshops. During the workshops, a spatial game and a subjective map of the area will be created, showing that Podlasie is much more exotic than the Far East countries. The whole series of the workshops is inspired by the motto “Road”. Workshops’ leaders together with participants will highlight the nature and colour of the area, creating a kind of asubjective map of the place. Classes will be run by members of the art Carousel collective: Agnieszka Chwiałkowska and Marta Ryczkowska. The workshops will be closed with a presentation of spatial works of the little land art artists, with the participation of children, their caretakers and invited guests.
