Bolesław Stelmach

(born 1956) graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology. Completed postgraduate urban planning studies at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology in 1984 and in 2009 received a Ph. D. degree in architecture. Since 1985 he runs his own design and teaching practice.
He is a winner of many international and national architectural competitions, including Accessible Building (1995), expansion of the Sejm of the Republic in Poland in Warsaw (2002), Lublin Science and Technology Park (2003), Chopin Centre in Warsaw (2005), restoration of the park in Żelazowa Wola with structures for tourist service, administration and utilities (2006), extension of the Hieronim Łopaciński Provincial Public Library in Lublin and reconstruction of the “Theatre under construction” into the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures of in Lublin (2009).
In 2010 he received the Honourary Award of the Association of Polish Architects.
