Iveta Heinacka and Laura Bistrakova
Iveta Heinacka and Laura Bistrakova graduated from Environmental art Bachelor’s programme at the Department of Design at Art Academy in Latvia (2012), currently they are completing their Master’s degrees at the same programme. At the Academy they founded IBIO union, the purpose of which is to obtain new experience and to get inspiration for their works in the future. They are young artists in environmental design who actively participate in creating environmental design objects. During the last 3 years they participated in designing many environmental art objects, for instance for Positivus Festival, which is one of the most famous music festivals in the Baltic States. They believe their objects should be characterized as questions, not as answers. Mainly they are interested in European and worldwide modern art. They are certain that Land Art Festival will reveal new possibilities and options to them and through participation they will obtain new perspective on the world around them.
