The start of the Landart Festival 2013
2013-07-03 14:13
The invited artists will carry out their works in Zwierzyniec, on the grounds of “Zwierzyńczyk”.
“Zwierzyńczyk” is a historical park-and-palace complex located behind the former residence of the Zamoyski family. The complex comprises of a water reservoir, alleys and footbridges which constitute an architectural reference to the times of the Zamoyski Family Fee Tail, when Zwierzyniec was the magnates’ favourite place to spend the summer holidays.
Thank to the support received from the European Union “Zwierzyńczyk” regained its former glory and since 2012 it has become a place for walks and strolls for an increasing number of tourists.
An art park will be created on these unique grounds. Here, cultural heritage becomes an inspiration for contemporary art.
Each of the ten presented works differ in the character, durability and style, level of its “functionality’ and the material used.
