Marie Helene Richard

(born 1966) France – French-Swiss artist who for over twenty years places her works in the natural and urban  landscape of France and Europe. Entering into dialogue with the place is the key to this architect of poetic imagination. The simplicity of shapes and minimalist approach to them determine the lightness of message. Thanks to the unique space concept, the artist creates using low quality and a wide variety of materials, such as bottles of water placed in a lake or painted bamboo placed throughout the space. These works question the relationship of man with his environment, divide the scale of places in which they were created, which are sometimes monumental. The concept of time is also a part of the artist’s game,  being in a specific time and space, which can range from long-lived to fleeting, lasting only a few hours.
