“Working on painting objects or spatial forms, I seem to be in the centre of operation of the fields of nature and culture. The works are far from illustrating the surrounding world, interpreting nature or an anecdotal narrative. The things that appear in the city space, in a gallery or in an idyllic landscape seems to be a sum and a result of idealized afterimages, remembered landscapes, places, events and cultural references. “The Open Studio” becomes another place of my searches. I will struggle with the matter, time and space, building ephemeral forms from branches, poles and sticks.”
